Trestle Table

Legs are bent laminations. Many layers of Mahogany were resawn on the bandsaw to about 3/32” thick. A curved set of forms was built from two-by construction lumber.

Our kitchen/dining table, 1998. Most of it was made from a single large plank of Honduras Mahogany, plus curly maple for the edges. Breadboard ends are mounted on sliding dovetails. Finish is CAB lacquer on the stand and alkyd polyurethane on the top.

The plank, almost 3 inches thick and 11 inches wide. I bought it on speculation, and this table popped out of it.

The stand, under construction.
